Why Envato Tuts+ Content Is Now Free and Accessible to All

Offering over 29,000 tutorials, Envato Tuts+ is one of the most extensive learning hubs available online – and it's now completely free!

Envato Tuts goes free

Envato Tuts+ is one of the most extensive online learning hubs currently available to creatives. Starting out as a small educational library, the site now offers over 1,200 courses and 29,000 tutorials on almost every creative topic under the sun – from video editing to illustration and drawing, alongside a YouTube channel that hosts almost 5,000 videos.

Tuts+ has undergone many changes over the years, all driven by a mission to connect aspiring learners and skill seekers – including designers, web developers, and hobbyists – with premium educational content. Now, the Tuts+ platform is taking this mission to a new level – making every piece of content that’s published free and accessible to all.

“Over the past few years, we’ve expanded our free educational content offering, and in doing so, we’ve been able to help more users than ever before to learn a skill and solve a problem,” says Tuts+ Manager, Matthew Cox. “We have big hopes to expand the reach of our content and help even more people, which is why removing the paywall makes so much sense.”

While some premium Tuts+ content was previously only accessible via a subscription to Envato Elements or a legacy standalone Tuts+ subscription, this update will give everyone who visits the site–including signed in users–full access to the complete Tuts+ suite of courses, tutorials and more.

So, what does this mean for current subscribers?

  • Envato Elements subscribers: Your Envato Elements subscription remains as it is now. You still have access to everything Elements has to offer with a paid subscription, including millions of creative digital assets–from video templates to Photoshop actions, 50M+ additional stock photos, and simple commercial licensing. Plus you can still access the Tuts+ library, only now you won’t need to log in with your Elements account details to do so.
  • Tuts+-only subscribers: As of April 1st you will no longer be charged for subscription renewals. All monthly subscribers will have continued access to their Tuts+ accounts until this date – regardless of when their next monthly subscription fee is due – after which everyone will have free access to all Tuts+ content. If you’re an annual subscriber, email [email protected] and we’ll offer you a refund on your most recent annual payment, proportionate to the time remaining on your subscription.

What’s next for Tuts+?

Following the move to free, Tuts+ will continue expanding its library of educational content and resources, both on the Tuts+ site and the growing Tuts+ YouTube Channel, including:
