Upgrading from Toolkit
to the new Envato Market
WordPress Plugin

The new Envato Market plugin replaces the old Envato Toolkit plugin.

The Envato Toolkit plugin will no longer work as the old API is closing down. 

If you are still using the Envato Toolkit plugin please:

  1. Delete the Envato Toolkit plugin from your WordPress website.
  2. Install the new Envato Market plugin.

The Envato Market WordPress Plugin makes it easy for Theme & Plugin authors to deliver updates to their customers.

With the use of a secure OAuth token and the powerful Envato API we can deliver a smooth item installation and update experience for WordPress customers.

How to delete Toolkit?

Here are the steps to follow to delete the old Envato Toolkit plugin:

  1. Contact your hosting provider and ensure you have a backup of your website.
  2. Login to your WordPress Dashboard
  3. Go to the Plugins menu
  4. Find the “Envato WordPress Toolkit” plugin and choose the “Deactivate” option.
  5. Find the “Envato WordPress Toolkit” plugin again and choose the “Delete” option.

How to install the new plugin?

The plugin can be installed from a ZIP file via the WordPress Dashboard.

  1. Download the ZIP file from here.
  2. Login to your WordPress Dashboard
  3. Go to Plugins > Add New
  4. Click “Upload Plugin” at the top
  5. Upload the envato-market.zip file
  6. Once installed, click “Activate Plugin”
  7. Visit the new “Envato Market” menu item
